I really like this idea!! I think people mainly put their pets in the kennel if they're going to be away and they want their pet to be there when they come back. I think the issue of them putting pets in the kennel just to keep them happy could be resolved by them not getting any exp off them while they're in the kennel, and of course there is a fee in keeping pets in the kennel. 

  I think with the pets all being unhappy and the addition of the new achievement you get from cuddling pets, this recommendation could be a really good thing to add to the site! It's so sad to see all the pets miserable in the kennel :(
