I, Nyekstim Nuadi, proud member of the U.S Site, am in total agreement. There are many purebloods, half bloods and muggleborns, some from different countries of origins in their backstory, so that would mean not every character is not inbred british purebloods, or from limited gene pools. we also must consider how bastard children are also a thing, so a muggleborn could be descendant of a squib who was an illegitimate child of a special wizard or witch, with a status, or a half blood. Or pureblood.

That was to further my point, the gene pool is not as limited as one might thing, but compared to the whole thousand wizards and witches in the Isles, yes it would seem extremely rare, especially among the families that are trying to keep themselves related to only the most powerful families, leading to some inbreeding, which could prevent inheriting some traits.

We also must consider that the Isles would still get some magical folk from other countries, that decide to settle down in the isles for whatever reason, I am talking about adults who could sleep around as they pleased.
