We understand that this is a very important topic for many of our users and we assure you that we take it very seriously. Unfortunately, it is not easy to add a third gender option or even more, as the two current options are closely linked to many aspects of the site and adding more would stop the current system from working. This is why this change can't be made over night.
We assure you, though, that we are already working on alternative options to display gender identities. Since this is a very complex subject we want to think it through thoroughly, which takes some time.

While I agree with this entirely, don't me wrong, it has been declined multiple times before (due to so many accounts being made without the option) <3

I do think that so many accounts have been made without the option because there HAS been no option and it has caused some problems that I've noticed in WoJM. Where users are needing to mention that there gender is wrong the chat and some other users who do not like disscussing LGBTQ+ and gender changes are feeling forced to close or leave the chat. In order to keep that from happening I think some other gender choices are in order to make sure all users feel comfortable on these WoX/WoP sites. I believe that many who do not identify as any gender still love Harry Potter and WIngs of Fire etc, and I do not want to see those people feeling forced to not join the site because they do not want to be gender identifyed. I also think being able to chose multiple genders may work for those who are gender-fluid.

The sites and their structure began in 2016, and ofc built before then , which was a time before the big boom in trans acknowledgement became a thing. I completely agree that there should be something there to indicate non binary gender identities. However, I don't think the creators of the site had any ill intend, but mostly just didn't have the knowledge about the community back when the site was created. There might be ways to add the option, but it will be thrown on the MoMs of the sites to help the users that already had users on the site with this change.

I mean this Other option will still be declined for the same reasons? It's not the title that is the issue but I do see the point D:

Also wanted to disclaim that pronouns don't equal gender identity. Not all nonbinary people use they/them and not all cisgender people use she/her or he/him (and that's okay, it's just a form of gender expression like clothing or makeup)

If you want to add a third gender option you would add nonbinary, not they/them.

I understand what your saying Atalune, but as that is reasonable it is unfair because those with no gender do not always idenitfy as a nonbinary, because non-binary is a orientation not a gender, they/them itself is the actual pro-nouns most commonly used for those who do not identify as somebody. She/her and He/Him were the only availible identitys before so people took what they were given, I'm sure those nonbinary can settle for They/Them. There is no reason for the WoP site to include a Fourth gender option if it is mostly the same given term.
