Delete unwanted accounts

This or a automatic user deleter so it could take some of the inactive users away.

There are many users who leave for months and come back to their accounts. Automatically deleting users would delete some that some may not want to be deleted.

They had a site before WoP where u could deactivate an account so it was safe, so there are ways it is possible to keep them and I don't say it should delete after a month or two, but the danish site is the oldest and there are many users that are banned or haven't been online for over 6 months. These wouldn't come online to delete themself so the automatic option would be great on them.

The deactivation thing didn't prevent the deletion. I had a user I had used for three years, which got deleted during the 12 months that it was deactivated. I agree with Kayte on this one that an automated system shouldn't be a thing.

I didn’t had that trouble but they could still do it and if ur away for so long what’s the difference about a new account and an old?

I used 3 years on that account and it had become graduated, so what is the difference? The difference was that I needed a break from the site back then, where I wanted to continue after and I lost it after the function had told me that I would still have it when the deactivation was done.
Sometimes people need a break from the site and wants to come back to the user that they once had, so then seeing it deleted will make the person stop using the site.

I think this is a great idea for people who don't want to do WoP for some crazy idea, or made a mistake in the creating process. Automatically might prove a problem due to what Kayte said

Or maybe just have a tab for "Delete Account" in settings

I think deleting accounts is a great idea as it would lighten the database. 

Maybe it could be an idea to have a one week deleting period where you would have the chance to undo your deletion. Like if you pressed the "delete account" button and "are you sure?" question, the clock would start ticking. You would not be able to use your account, much like if you've fainted, but there would be a button named "undo" or something like that.

Pros:  - a chance to regret or to undo if you've pressed wrong.

          - time to think so that you are absolutely sure you want to leave WoP :'(

Cons: it takes time.

I think having a delete option is a really nice idea for people who want to try-out WoP but don't like it at the end, or for people who made an second account to check out if they could get in another house. But there should be a warning with email confirmation or something like that, so you can't accidently delete your account.
