Accept gifts but keep note

If you don't want the note to be read by everyone, you want your gift list tidy, or you just really want the item in your inventory but not lose the note, you can accept the gift and then, when you go to your inventory, the item will have a coloured outline and if you click the three stripes, it says "note". Click that and it shows you - and only you! - the note.
