A 'I have read and accepted the guidelines' Button on the Grading Guide.

Hello dear WoP Team and Community!

Lately there have been a lot of complaints about unfair grading (On different websites) or wrong grading. Some of the comments along with the 'wrong' grades show that the user hasnt read the guidelines & rules carefully or at all. There are still many cases were people get lower grades because they are a bit less creative or have some spelling errors (although the homework is still understandable). The people receiving the grades then are unhappy since they deserve better and write complains over complains, this is taking the fun of this amazing website and pushing users to not continue anymore since they dont care about it anymore.

To minimize this problem of not caring to read the rules and guidelines, maybe you could add a confirmation button at the end of the rules/guidelines page for grading?

And instead of only doing it once, maybe every monday or second monday everyone who tries to grade homework will be brought back to that site and has to reconfirm it again? That way people could also refresh their memory on the actual rules a bit. I'm sure older students who might already know them by heart, wouldnt mind to look over them (if not reread them) again for the better overall grading on the website. (please take those 5 seconds)

or maybe to actually force people to read them: add a hidden keyword, that they need to type in at the end, so that they confirm. Maybe make it random generated so that not everyone has the same one and hide it within the guidelines (still easy to notice that it doesn belong there but not make it obvious on the first glance).

And maybe for people to take it more seriously, add a function that bans them from grading for 1-7 days depending on how awful they grade. It would be great if Teachers could have the function to mark a person if they graded COMPLETELY wrong/unfair and if the person has 3 marks the teacher gets to decide for how long that person will be unable to grade. Maybe add an automatic Owl, that sends the 'banned' person a message for how long he/she is unable to grade and the reason (unreasonable grading 3 times already). The more often a person still continues this, the higher the amount of days gets.

Although this is a nice idea, some users may just click that they have read without reading and the problem would stay the same. Luckily we do have ATs and Teachers and a complaint system for homework if a student feel it's been graded wrong.

Lots of good ideas here!

Yes!! We've been getting a lot of people who barely even read the homework and give grades that homework shouldn't get. I completely support the grading ban idea. If they are excluded from grading for a while, surely they'll be willing to grade better the next time! Pleaaase make the grading ban a thing. And I completely support the hidden keyword idea as well. Maybe the hidden keyword only for new people, and for older users, just a confirmation again? Either way, all these ideas are lovely <3

(Also, for the grading ban, maybe allow the Headmistress and Minister for Magic to be able to lift it? So that if it is an accident or the ban was given without good reason, the student can contact them?)
